Shri Khandelwal noted how HLL, through public-partnership models, has diversified from being a condom manufacturer into a healthcare delivery company.

“We provide quality diagnostic services at extremely affordable costs –starting from primary health centres to medical colleges in various states of India,” he added. “The MRI scanning units of HINDLABS have so far benefitted around two lakh patients. HLL is enduring its best to provide healthcare services at affordable cost.”

The new 3000 square feet HINDLABS centre, with an investment of Rs. 11.30 crores, is equipped with 1.5 Tesla MRI scan machines, and CT Scan, with 128 slices. It will provide essential diagnostic services to the patients of Medical College Hospital, SAT, Regional Cancer Centre (RCC), Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) and other outpatients.  These machines help in providing reliable test results in a comparatively shorter time.

“HLL has played a major role in the development of medical college hospital facilities since 2009. One third of the hospital’s development is contributed by HLL,” said Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Principal Dr Thomas Mathew.

“The new HINDLABS Scan Centres will be beneficial to the common people,” said Director of Medical Education, Dr Remla Beevi.
