Thiruvananthapuram: HINDLABS, the leading diagnostic network known for providing diagnostic services at affordable rates, has inaugurated new upgraded centre at Kowdiar today. It is the healthcare services initiative of HLL Lifecare Limited, a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The Kowdiar centre, located in the premises of the Public Health Centre, is ideally situated to benefit nearby wards.

Previously offering only blood collection services, the centre has been expanded with modern diagnostic equipment. In addition to blood tests, Kowdiar HINDLABS now offers diagnostic tests such as ECG, continuing to provide all tests at rates 40% to 60% lower than market rates.

The inauguration ceremony, held today (11-07-2024), was graced by Pooyam Thirunal Gauri Parvathi Bayi of Travancore Palace. The event was attended by Dr. Anita Thampi, C&MD (i/c) of HLL, Ajith N., Director (Marketing), Aditya Varma and S. Babu Narayanan IA&AS, Secretary, Kowdiar Palace, Trivandrum.

Currently, there are 10 HINDLABS centres in Kerala, including the NABL-accredited HINDLABS Diagnostics and Specialty Clinic near Thiruvananthapuram Medical College, the HINDLABS MRI Scan Center at SAT Hospital, and several others. Additionally, there are 21 blood collection centres at various locations across Thiruvananthapuram.

The first HINDLABS centre was inaugurated in 2008 at R.K. Puram, New Delhi, and today, there are 218 centres across the country.
