HLL adds two more Lifecare Centres at Koyilandi, Kerala and Tirupati, AP

Lifecare Centre, a unique joint venture of HLL and the Government of Kerala, opened its fifth centre in Kerala and the second in Malabar at Koyilandi Taluk Hospital on 5 July 2013. This first such centre to come up at the Taluk hospital was inaugurated by Shri K Dasan, MLA. Koyilandi Corporation Mayor Smt. K Shantha presided over the inaugural function while Health Standing Committee Chairperson, Smt. K V Sheeja, delivered the welcome note. Shri Girish Kumar, Senior Vice President of HLL Healthcare Services, members of the governing body of Koyilandi Corporation and HLL employees participated in the function.
 
Efforts are also underway at the hospital to provide scanning services at discounted rates in association with the Lifecare Centre.  The Lifecare Centre at Koyilandi Taluk Hospital is the second to be opened in Malabar. 
 
Another centre was opened at Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), a tertiary care referral centre at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The centre, located inside the SVIMS campus near New Padmavati OP Block and Emergency Department, was inaugurated by Dr. B. Vengamma, Director of the Hospital, on 19 June 2013.
 
The Lifecare Centre at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College that started functioning in October 2011 was the first in this chain.
 
The Lifecare Centre offers surgical implants and other medical products, like medicines, surgical, disposables, stents and pacemakers, at discounts ranging from 10 to 60 per cent.  In addition to subsidised services for the needy, the centre also provides cashless services to Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) cardholders.
